I understand that confidence in a second language is not only about vocabulary or grammar — it is deeply connected to how comfortable we feel expressing our ideas, opinions, and expertise.

 

As a woman, and as a mother, I recognise how often highly capable women hold themselves to extremely high standards. Many of the professionals I work with are already accomplished in their fields, yet feel that their true level of competence is not fully reflected when they communicate in English. They may hesitate before speaking in meetings, soften their ideas unnecessarily, or feel they must prepare excessively before contributing.

My role is to help change that.

 

For over 12 years, I have worked with mid- to senior-level professionals from international organisations, including Deloitte, Mercedes, VW, Otto, Chiesi, and KWV. Through this experience, I have developed a strong understanding of the communication demands faced by women working in global environments where English is the primary language of business.

 

My teaching approach is highly personalised and student-centred. I take time to understand each client’s professional context, communication goals, and areas where confidence may currently feel limited. From there, I design tailored lessons that focus not only on language development, but also on helping clients feel more comfortable expressing their expertise clearly and authentically.

 

Many women I work with tell me that they do not simply want to improve their English — they want to feel more confident contributing ideas, leading discussions, and representing their professional identity fully in an international context.

Because I specialise in working with female professionals, I am particularly attentive to the subtle communication patterns that can sometimes reduce perceived authority, such as over-apologising, hesitating, or under-explaining expertise. Together, we develop language strategies that support confident, natural communication without losing authenticity or warmth.

My goal is to create a supportive, motivating learning environment in which clients feel encouraged, understood, and challenged in a constructive way. Confidence grows when learners feel psychologically safe to practise, refine, and strengthen their communication style.
